11/11/2016 |<img src='http://www.ik4.es/upload/noticias/img/ensayos-no-destructivos.jpg' /> A hundred participants representing major national and multinational companies from a range of sectors attended the seminar on “NDT Technologies: current state and short-term perspectives”, organised on 10 November by the IK4 R&D Alliance on the Ibaeta premises of CEIT-IK4 in Donostia-San Sebastian.
During the event the latest advances in the technologies used in NDT (non-destructive testing) were presented to the listeners whose profile was of a technical nature. Non-destructive testing involves tests carried out on a material but which do not permanently alter its physical, chemical, mechanical or dimensional properties and which entail imperceptible or zero damage.
The seminar was geared towards companies interested in finding out about the latest technologies, applications and trends in non-destructive testing as well as about the advantages in applying it, such as the cutting of risks and the increase in production efficiency.
IK4 explained its experience in a field of interest for more and more industries due to its usefulness in saving costs and time and preventing deliveries of defective materials. The needs of industry in this respect are increasingly demanding and that is why the field of non-destructive testing is evolving rapidly by incorporating new technologies and developing new capabilities and applications.
