IK4 showcases its most innovative technologies on Global Innovation Day.

05/16/2017 |<img src='http://www.ik4.es/upload/noticias/img/2017-05-16-10.52.png' data-link='http://www.ik4.es/upload/noticias/img/2017-05-16-10.52.png' /> IK4 showcased some of its technological advances on Global Innovation Day, held at the Euskalduna Conference Centre in Bilbao on 16 May. The Alliance, which had its own stand, exhibited new developments that it has made recently in fields such as additive manufacturing, surface treatments, the wind energy sector, and electronics, information and communication technologies (EICTs).

The Alliance sits on the organising committee of this event promoted by Innobasque, the Basque Agency for Innovation. Into its sixth edition this year, the occasion is regarded as the leading event in innovation taking place in the Basque Autonomous Community. It was attended by over 2,000 representatives of institutions, companies and R&D&i centres.

In addition, to mark Innobasque's tenth anniversary taking place this year, the IK4 exhibition highlighted how the technology used by Basque industry has evolved over the last decade.

The event hosted over 100 activities with 23 workshops, 16 talks, and the setting up of 52 stands or ‘txokos'. Innobasque introduced this initiative in 2011 to showcase Basque innovation, to position the Basque Autonomous Community as an innovative region, to facilitate a space for the exchange of knowledge and networking, and to help the people attending connect with global innovation.
