IK4 strengthens its talent recruitment bid

09/29/2017 |<img src='http://www.ik4.es/upload/noticias/img/feria_empleo_cam_gipuzkoa.jpg' data-link=""' /> IK4 is continuing with its firm bid to recruit talent. After two years of intense work focusing on the hire of a significant number of profiles specialising mainly in engineering, physics, chemistry or biology for its centres, the alliance recently participated in three job fairs.

Last 22 June, it went to the 5th Lanbai Employment and Training Fair, a yearly event that brings job-hunters and employers together at the headquarters of Mondragon Unibertsitatea in the Garaia Pole. Promoted by the university centre and the Arrasate town hall and held at a venue designed for businesses and institutions, it facilitates interested parties first-hand contact with 47 entities, among them IK4, which set up its own stand at the fair.

More recently, in the framework of this strategy to promote employment, the alliance attended the first edition of the Gipuzkoa Chamber of Commerce Job Fair, a seminar held last 12 September, which drew over 300 of the unemployed to contact 21 research institutions, businesses and public agencies assembled for this encounter. The alliance had its own space where job seekers gave in their CVs and introduced their aptitudes.

SCIENCE+ ERA Career Day, a three-day congress intended to promote youth employment in scientific fields, was the latest encounter in which IK4 participated. Organised by the Bizkaia Talent Initiative together with the chair for scientific culture of the Basque Country University (UPV/EHU) and FECYT – the Spanish Science and Technology Foundation – the event lasted the three days of 18, 19 and 20 September at the Bizkaia Aretoa in Bilbao.

Aimed at providing support and publicity for the professional and academic opportunities that the scientific arena offers university graduates and researchers in the process of assessing their professional options, IK4, along with other research centres, gave an overview and presented the offer of the alliance and all the centres comprising it on Tuesday the 19th.

Currently, IK4 is running the second edition of a doctoral programme for 25 graduates wanting to develop their doctoral theses at the centres comprising the alliance. The deadline for the selection of candidacies will be open up to the next month of October.
