Enable Skype Autorun

It is very practical when you do not need to start Skype every time you turn on the device, but it does it automatically. After all, forgetting to turn on Skype, you can miss an important call, not to mention the fact that each time to run the program manually, it is not very convenient. Fortunately, the developers have dealt with this problem and this application is prescribed in the automatic running of the operating system. It means that Skype will start automatically as soon as you turn on your computer. But, for various reasons, the autorun can be disabled, in the end, the configuration can be launched. In this case, the question of turning it back on becomes relevant. Let's find out how to do it.

Enable autorun through the Skype interface

The most obvious way to activate Skype's autorun is through that program's own interface. To do this, go to Tools and Settings.

In the settings window that opens, under the "General Settings" tab, check the "Launch Skype at Windows startup" box.

Now Skype will start as soon as the computer is turned on.

Add to Windows Autorun

But, for those users who are not looking for easy ways, or in case the first method does not work for some reason, there are other options to add Skype to the autorun. The first is to add the shortcut to "Skype" to the Windows autorun.

To perform this procedure, first open the Windows Start menu and click on "All Programs".

Find the "Autorun" folder in the list of programs, right-click and select "Open" from the available options.

A window opens before us through the Explorer, where the shortcuts of the programs that are loaded are located. Drag and drop or copy the Skype shortcut from the Windows Desktop to this window.

That's it, you don't need to do anything else. Now Skype will load automatically on system startup.

Enabling Autorun with Third Party Utilities

It is also possible to configure the automatic launch of Skype with the help of special applications that deal with the cleaning and optimization of the operating system. Some of the most popular are CClener.

After launching this utility, go to the "Tools" tab.

Then go to the "Autoloading" subsection.

A window opens in front of us with a list of programs that have, or may have, the autoload function activated. The font of the names of the applications with the function deactivated has a pale tone.

Find the "Skype" program in the list. Click on your name and then on the "Activate" button.

Now Skype will start automatically, and the CClener application may close if you don't plan to do more system settings on it.

As you can see, there are several ways to configure Skype to turn on automatically when you start your computer. The easiest way is to enable it through the program's interface. Other ways make sense only if this option doesn't work for some reason. Although, this is more a matter of personal convenience.
