Method 1: Standard Tools

If you use the official mobile client, you can add and edit photos on Instagram in two ways, depending on the type of post, be it a post or a feed entry. The current Android and iOS versions of the app in question are almost identical, while the unavailability of certain new features is most often due to account-specific updates and not the device or software.

The filter bar will then become available and can be changed by swiping right or left with a swipe gesture.

The official Instagram website doesn't offer an internal editor for stories, but it's quite possible to create regular posts and edit photos in the process.
