My Skype microphone is not working. What to do

Reason 1: The microphone is disconnected

The simplest cause may be a disconnected microphone. First of all, check that the microphone is connected to the computer and that the cable that goes to it is not broken. If this is okay, check if the sound is reaching the microphone.

1. To do this, right-click on the speaker icon in the tray (lower right corner of the desktop) and select with recording devices.

3. Now say something into the microphone. The bar on the right should be filled with green.

Reason 2: Wrong device selected
